What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently you can (to my experience, correct me if I'm wrong) only assign Map Markers to a single Marker Group. This proves frustrating when many markers are used within a map.
For example, I have a map for my homebrew D&D world with Map Markers to every single settlement. I use Groups already to differenciate between settlements (Towns, villages, cities), geographic locations (forests, lakes, rivers, mountains) und the names of the different kingdoms etc. I would love to be able to further differenciate my settlements into groups per kingdom, while also leaving my players with the option to view all the markers they have access to (in order to see where they have been since they get access o a map marker once they've been there.).
I am aware that I could just do away with one group for all settlements and have just the settlements by kingdoms and have my players check all the group boxes in view mode. I just think it would make things easier to be able to assign markers to multiple marker groups.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
If it were possible to assign one marker to multiple marker groups (just like with subscriber groups) would make the customization of the map view even better.
The Team's Response
Thank you for the suggestion! We are already planning changes to the interactive map interface and we believe that these changes will address these concerns.
