So in my current D&D 5e campaign, I recently decided to allow all my players to roll up a 2nd character which allows them to split their resources over different story arcs. The issue arose when I told my players to create their 2nd characters within World Anvil so I could easily reference their characters when updating the timeline. Apparently even though I have a paid membership with World Anvil, because my players have a free world anvil account, they can not add their second characters into the campaign which means I would have to add them as NPCs which really seems like a poor workaround. Seems it would be a very simple thing to allow players to have more than one character assigned to a campaign. Consider the fact that some might lose a character to death and will eventually need a second character when they reroll a new one, this seems like a very big oversight to prevent players from having more than one character in a campaign.

on 2021-06-10 19:06You can add a second character to the same campaign in any case. Just make sure that they actually have a character to add. The message that the limit is reached is always there and has no meaning. So should probably be removed.
