What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
The ability to display a category as a flippable (upcoming) statblock for DM screens. For example you can have a category that contains 20 NPCs that can be found in an area, or 20 possible encounters you prepared for the game.How does this feature request address the current situation?
Makes it so you don't need to have all prepared NPCs on the DM screen at one time. Tying it to a category offers full user customization for its content as DMs already have all necessary functions built into the category. (For example hiding a category from your players in the main page.)What are other uses for this feature request?
Anything that can be displayed as a block can be put on a DM screen without needing to have too many cooks in the kitchen and displaying 20 separate things at once. For example you could have a random loot table in one corner and a category filled with all the items that players can get next to it and suddenly you have access to everything in it without taking up barely any space.Follow up
to ss2020: it doesn't mean i want the current solutions to be overwritten, it's just an additional option to have
The Team's Response
The idea is good and an interesting implementation but it has very little support to be added to the list at this time. There will be a lot of other changes that may cover the need behind this request.

on 2022-10-04 15:26I do this already with the Mention system and tables. I do not want to go in and change the categories for NPCs and treasure anytime I want to use them. It might be a good idea if delivered in a different way.
