Option for "Booked" categories to also appear in the TOC

toc categories book

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently, when you make a category into a book it no longer appears in the TOC anywhere in your world. It is unsatisfying that there is no combination of options that lets me have the category as a book, and stay in the TOC. It never appears in your TOC no matter where you are in the world. I feel that while this make sense on the homepage, or category pages (if you have books in books) it doesn't make sense if you tag your TOC into an article.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Allowing an option to have the category be a book and appear in the TOC should address the issue.

What are other uses for this feature request?

In general it would make browsing easier and give creators more options.

The Team's Response

This suggestion did not reach the required level of support during its voting period.   Just as a note, if you want to show categories as books but ALSO to be on ToC you can already do it.
  • Do not mark the category as a book
  • Use the BB Code for book on the worwld Description to use them

That's the point with books. They should not appear in the TOC. But the books are always on the navigation bar, so you HAVE access to them from everywhere in your world. And for otheer stuff, just link a book or book-block.

Why? I mean - isn't the whole point to distinguish between them? This will ruin my world, and I bet many others as well.
