What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Bbcode rendering in interactive tables. Bbcode works pretty much everywhere else on the website. In articles most of all and having a table with excerpts of the linked article without the usual functions for variables, icons and bold or underlined characters takes away a lot of readability. Especially with long lists of articles like a spellbook or bestiary.  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

bbcode elements being rendered in interactive tables would reduce the effort and wasted space it takes to implement short descriptions, since variables are already a thing in world anvil.  

What are other uses for this feature request?

This would really improve long lists, where you could search through colorful icons instead of miles of text, mouse over variables to read them, implement buttons other than dice rolls, emphasize words with bold or underlined text, etc. Bbcode offers a lot of functionality that could really add to the interactive tables.
