This shouldn't be added to WA Devs workload, as a community project it would be much better with both WA and Roll20 working on it and not just WA.
Roll20 is my go to D&D creation it would be awesome if I could connect this to my Roll20 for when I am running my campaigns!
I'm by no means a developer, but having talked to a few about other API things I wanted to integrate with WA, I agree with people who are saying WA devs shouldn't have to worry about this. This is a system agnostic tool, so the devs should be focusing on system agnostic improvements. There are so many talented people in the community, and on the other side of the API connection that could do this.
This is the one thing that contiually takes me away from World Anvil. I play exclusively online (Roll20 + DnD Beyond) and the copy and paste between them is a roadblock that often prevents me from entering contents into World Anvil. Other than that, what an awesome tool Worl Anvil is. I love it.
I was thinking something similar with an import/export to Fantasy grounds. Right now I'm copy/pasting the text and images and rebuilding within FG.
It would be great to be able to have links in Roll20 so I don't have to make some of my WA entries in Roll20 for my players.
I have no practical use for this but think it has AMAZING potential!
Wouldn't the Roll20 have to agree to any kind of partnership deal? This seems like too much time and effort to be worth doing.
The API is available to everyone, Roll20 should built that integration or someone in the community.
This should be a community project, and not something added to Dev workload. In addition the division in focus between several VTTs, might slow developement of essential features.
Ive turned to world anvil to keep the bloat down on my roll20 campaign. Intergration would be insanely useful
Roll20 integration, like FoundryVTT integration could be done by the community.
