What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
When using a template--I'll use the CHARACTER template as the example, but others are easy to extrapolate--you designate a lot of information. For example, SPECIES is a built-in drop-down box of species I've created.
But, as far as I can tell, there is no way to generate a list of all, for example, Elves, in the world. Clearly, I could do this with tags, but that seems highly redundant: I've designated the species once, having to manually add tags (subject to error, yadda) to do this seems ... suboptimal?
So the suggestion is to either be able to use tagged: with some sort of built-in keywords, or a parallel system of something like character-template:species or whatever.
The idea is that, as a creator, I only have to enter species (or place of birth or year of birth or current residence or whatever) once, and can then reference it.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
What are other uses for this feature request?
It is clearly subject to scope creep: I would start with CHARACTER, but it could also be used for LOCATIONS, etc.
Follow up
I wonder about the system sometimes. This idea has a very high percentage of people dumping max coin into it. Over half the votes are for 300 points. No idea if or how that should feature into the evaluation.
If someone else wants to take up drumbeating for this, have at it--I barely have time to vote and make occasional suggestions.
The Team's Response
The idea is actually really good, but due to the fact the implementation is not going to be easy at all, it will require more support from the community to proceed.
