I can only add to a character his parents or adopted parents. I cannot address this quickly with siblings, grandparents, uncles or cousins...
Normally I need to go to the regular relationship and define a familial tie which is either by marriage or siblings. Anything else must be done manually. The worst part is that it adds the header into the article which I don't want.
Furthermore, I have a mother of 10, 5 of which are characters. In the mother's article I can only see the first I defined as a child.
A more fluid and quick way to establish family ties, without the discomfort of full relationship headers.
I know reviewing the family and relationships system is on the upcoming features list, but i can't stress how much more user-friendly this would make the whole site for me!
Would love an extension of this, since some of my characters relations and relationships are very complex and spread out. Like one character had multiple different foster parents, another has different oath brothers and sister, and yet another was in multiple different relationships that gave rise to multiple different family connections. Would love it this could be expanded on, so that creators could add it all neatly, without having to create several family tags for one character.
Having accurate family trees is extremely important in my campaign.
The current implementation is very clunky, I agree. It would be wonderful to just have a section on each character page with a section for "Parents," "Children," "Siblings," and "Partners." The same kind of field as associated cultures on many templates, which allow multiple pages to be linked.
A major overhaul of the relationship system is already planned, as has been said in other similar suggestions.
