The new visual text editor is streamlined and very intuitive but lacks support for embedding Chronicles, Whiteboards and PDFs, among others within articles. I humbly request that the Visual editor be able to embedd at least those features already native to World Anvil, like Whiteboards and Chronicles.
By allowing the new editor to do basic embedding of other features already in World Anvil, users will benefit from the streamlined and user-friendly experience of the new visual editor without sacrificing the powerful features available in the older editor.
Currently me and my co-authors are disincentivized from using interesting and powerful features like the Chronicle and Whiteboards because we have to choose between the ease of use of the visual editor but no embedding, or learning to use the advanced editor and having embedding, but with more hassle.
In a perfect world I could do an article in the visual editor, swap over to the advanced editor for the more bb code heavy stuff, and then swap back again once I´m done so my co-authors dont have to learn another editor. But I suspect that 2-3 "buttons" in the visual editor is easier than managing the change of the entire editor to make that stable.
