Different Plot Structures Other Than Frytag’s Pyramid

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

In the ’Structure’ tab of the plot template, there are blanks to fill out that follow the structure of Frytag’s pyramid. This story structure is the simplist and most versitile, but there are many types of stories that are difficult to fit into its structure. (Particularly, thrillers).

How does this feature request address the current situation?

If there was an option for multiple different types of story structures (such as The Hero’s Journey, The Three-Act Structure, The Dan Harmon Story Circle, The Fichtean Curve, Save the Cat, and The Seven-Point Story Structure) it would not only be a more versatile feature to a wide array of stories but it would also help spark imagination. That said, it doesn’t demean the fact that the options currently available are very versitile.

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll add an option to select a "plot type", which will reveal the plot structure fields for the selected type (as showing all of them might be a bit overwhelming), although this requires some design work so it might be a while until we get around to implementing it. Note that some plot structures, such as Save the Cat, are owned by other people and therefore we can't implement them.
