Request to reopen "TO CONTROL OUR FONTS AND THEIR SIZES" by buckwell

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

My personal issue is the font sizes within tables, which I either cannot control (or cannot figure out how to control).  After many many hours scouring the sites and help, I found this suggestion buckwell made, and while it had many upvotes, I guess it didn't get enough?  To me this is mission critical in order for me to use WorldAnvil as something I can show to player rather than something I only use myself.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Font size control (particularly in tables) will change them from "unreadable" (which my current players have given me feedback on) to "readable".

What are other uses for this feature request?

We just need to be able to control fonts/fontsizes.  Particularly in tables!

Follow up

Is there a way I can add all the points I have to this request? If there was 1 thing that would make this site useable for my players this year, font control for tables would be it.

YES PLEASE. I know a lot of people have used WA for a long time, have adapted to using CSS and probably won't care for this and won't vote for it or even downvote it, but a comfortable user experience is one of the things that WA is truly lacking. Don't get me wrong - the features of this site are amazing, but the fact that you need way too much time to figure out WA and can't just easily DO simple things has been a major critique from many people from what I've gathered so it's definitely worth to implement things to appeal to the non-programming savvy types. Basic stuff like making your font bigger or smaller shouldn't be locked behind CSS knowledge, especially if I just want to have a bigger font for one particular word and don't want to create a whole new standard font.

As a Grandmaster I have access to CSS editing, but I don't have time to fiddle with CSS for this site, especially not simply to change fonts. I come here to write text, not to write code. Any WYSIWYG-capable editor should be able to have even the basic '+1''+2''-1' etc for font sizes, and potentially access to webfonts to change text, such as for colour text (e.g. a 'handwritten' note). Even if this was restricted to guild members, I consider it a necessary add.

One of the few issues I have with the platform.

Why this isn't already a free feature is beyond me. There needs to be an easy way to control fonts on not just tables but articles as well.

If your are at guild tier of Journeyman or higher you can already do this through custom css. ".user-css table { font-size: 16px; }" to specifically target tables

What you're looking for is adding some custom CSS for your world. .user-css p { font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt } would change the size of regular paragraphs to 12 points and the font to Helvetica or Arial if the person doesn't have helvetica, or just any other sans-serif font if they don't have that either), for instance.
