Automatic Link Closure at the end of an article link

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

If this is just me, lemme know, but at present when you link to other articles, save, exit, and return to your work later, the system treats all subsequent words in the paragraph as part of the link. So now when describing a relationship "he knows [@Bill] from childhood, they were a duo", when you open the article later it will become "he knows [@Bill from childhood, they were a duo]".   Now, I can just put a ";" after it, or separate it by not one but two line breaks (turns out one break doesn't fix it), but I feel like this is something that the linking system should automatically do so I don't have to take the extra step. Mild inconvenience, but when you have 5 links in a single paragraph, it gets annoying. :/

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I dunno coding, but if you could just have the system close its own link with a ";" for me, it'd just speed things up and be a nice QOL improvement. :)

What are other uses for this feature request?

  Um... ascii art? idk

The Team's Response

Hey there!   This is not a feature request on the account that this is not normal behaviour. :)   Lyraine: I think you have misunderstood something here - please make sure that you state answers as your opinion so we do not have any misunderstandings please <3   NotAPandaWasTaken: This is probably a combination of the fact that you are using and () directly around your mention links and at the same time using the WYSIWYG (Plato) editor. I cannot confirm, but please, feel free to make a bug report with as much detail as possible so we can investigate.

The main issue stems from the auto-save registering on key press, not button clicks, so you have to type a letter (usually I use a space or something) so the auto-save registers that there was a completed link.   That being said, it would be nice if there were a way for the autosave to trigger after a mention link has been completed.
