Attach eras to multiple timelines

Feature Upgrade · Timelines · Created by DMFW

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

It's very useful to be able to attach an event to more than one timeline. It would be great if eras could also be associated with more than one timeline.   I have a world with a global timeline and then individual timelines for important cities where I want to track their local history. All these cities share era information from the global timeline but the only way to depict this is to manually create a copy of each era on every city timeline which is long winded and also makes it hard to ensure consistency if I need to change the start and end dates in the future.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

If eras worked like events, they could be reused, making it much easier to create related timelines.

What are other uses for this feature request?

None that I can think of.

Treating eras like events would be very useful. I believe that the calendar features are somewhere on the TBD list, but wanted to mention this sounds like a good thing to incorporate when you get to working on the calendar features.

Algo esencial que hasta ahora falta. En mi caso, las eras de un mundo son únicas, y cada línea de tiempo se enmarca en las mismas eras, así que debo crearlas una y otra vez por cada línea de tiempo.

I think it is very necessary. In my case I have several calendars, but some eras are the same (one calendar is based on another and updates it).

You can already attach events to multiple timelines, but the rest sounds like a great idea.
