location geography
I was going to add size to a nation's article when I realized that there is no field for that. There doesn't seem to be one for settlements or buildings, either. It would be very useful to have, parhaps hear the Population section in geographic locations, for examply. While it could be fitted in under the geography section, that doesn't feel quite right to me, and I'd love to see a separate little one-line section where you can just type in the square miles, kilometers, or whichever measurement applies.

The Team's Response

Will be adding Area Size in all Location types (geographic, settlement, landmark)

While I am with you an that one, you could always just write it in the sidebar. "Area/Size: 123km²"   I can see benefits to having a dedicated field for it though. Just imagine if we would have an option later, to show "10 biggest nations" or "10 biggest cities". While this is not a feature yet, a separate field will make it easier to track certain numbers, especially for API users.   Its also something rather common on wikis and so on.

could help get the fell of how big some countries are to others and help size up the world map or others map.

As someone that uses this site more towards basic narrative then general DnD, I feel that being able to define the size of a region could also really help remind an author of the appliable rules around the area of focus.

This would be very helpful. For areas, like kingdoms and regions, you should be able to set the size, and for things like rivers and waterfalls you could set the length or height.

This would be a nice thing to include, so it doesn't have to be stated in the article. Would also be ineresting if this equated to map pin size? just a thought.

I agree, population and size of a location could be a great help.

As a person who mostly uses worldanvil for my D&D world, being able to easily find the size I have to draw out on the play mat for my locations would be great, plus even just for writing purposes when I write a location just for the sake of writing it or using it in a story it would really help me keep a consistent representation of the size of a place when characters are travelling or in combat

This applies to an adjustment to my world. I would love to share the size. Also the size of the countries and the like.

Seems like a neat addition, but the measurements won't be consistent. I am unsure of exactly how it can be implemented, nevertheless, it seems to be a good suggestion. God bless and thanks for posting!
