Various portraits in the character sidebar

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfactory about the current situation?

I would love the option to add several portraits in the sidebar for a single character, this would serve to represent the character at different stages of life or if her appearance changes in future stories. I have taken as a reference in Fandom Wikis how you can change tabs on the character's photo indicating the variations in his appearance with respect to his current or previous appearance.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

If possible, I would like to add tabs indicating the portraits to change them when the user interacts. I currently do this by putting a spoiler below the portrait and a carousel inside the spoiler.

What are other uses of this feature request?

As I said before, the idea is to represent various stages of the character without the need to delete the previous portrait. I wouldn't have to change anything in the other aspects like icons on family trees, it would just be wonderful in the article as such.

I use Galleries for this currently, but see the use case.

I can sort of understand your request, but you have also already mentioned a working and simple workaround...
