  I think not making it the default, but having it as an option when you first open the calendar menu on a world would help a lot especially for newer writers

  I agree with A Goodheart Kobold. If you make it a choice to select it would be great for those who use the Gregorian calendar. I prefer to create my own calendar so this would mean it would be a painful task of having to delete it all and start afresh if it was made default.

  Just because of the well of ages giving this out for free makes me think that it might go overlooked and not fit with someone's world, but maybe as one of the checkable options on the start menu.

  What several others said. You can just copy in a JSON file from the mentioned world and there you go, working calendar. No editing of every day/month required. WHAT I'd wish though is a proper mention on the "edit calendars" page where to find calendars for import.

  I agree that having documentation on how to load the json for an existing calendar would be handy to have. (I didn't see that on either the World Anvil codex page or the Well of Ages.) But the json for the Gregorian calendar does exist on the Well of Ages and the World Anvil codex page does have link to the Well of Ages. And having a default Gregorian calendar would be a huge nuisance for me.

  Unless I’m just dumb, I found copy and pasting the Gregorian calendar very difficult. I could not find a copy and paste and I put it in my world manually.

  This is a bad idea. Making Earth's calendar the default would be just as frustrating for people who want custom calendars as you're experiencing now. However, there is an option so you can just copy-paste the json for a calendar to import to your world. Check out Well of Ages- https://www.worldanvil.com/w/well-of-ages They've got both the Gregorian Calendar and the International Fixed Calendar, as well as a few other popular fantasy calendars.
