What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Timeline objects currently only support linking to a single species and a single article. This becomes restrictive in cases where events—like wars, cultural shifts, or significant moments—logically involve multiple species or have multiple relevant entries (such as both mythological and factual accounts).   Additionally, in order to reflect the full scope of an event, I'm currently forced to create multiple timeline objects just to link additional articles. This clutters the timeline and fragments what should be a unified event representation.  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Allowing multiple species and multiple articles to be associated with a single timeline object removes the need for redundant or fragmented entries. It provides the flexibility needed for more accurate and comprehensive worldbuilding, especially when dealing with complex events that span across different groups and narrative types.  

What are other uses for this feature request?

This would let users:

• Represent multi-species conflicts or collaborations within one cohesive timeline object
• Link both factual records and mythic interpretations of a single event without duplication
• Maintain a cleaner, more readable timeline by consolidating related content
• Customize timelines to fit the logic and scope of their world, rather than be limited by artificial constraints
• Ultimately, it gives worldbuilders more expressive control and avoids clutter while preserving narrative depth.
