interactive-tables tables statblocks embed

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Currently (I have verified this with others on the Discord) you cannot embed an interactive table in to a statblock. Not only can this not be done, there is no warning or documentation telling you that you can't do it.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

This is a reasonably basic functionality that the average person would justifiably assume would "just work" but it doesn't and figure out why when there's nothing telling you it can't is rather frustrating.

What are other uses for this feature request?

A very basic way this would be used would be for creating random name tables for species, or random treasure tables that are themed for certain monster types.

The Team's Response

Thanks for your suggestion! Interactive tables aren't supported in statblocks because in some of the contexts in which a statblock can appear, the table wouldn't work. That said, we have plans to make them more accessible to both player and GMs, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, you can use regular tables, which don't have a roll button but are supported by the Visual Editor.
