What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
When using World Anvil for a RPG Campaign the players can't make Notes or Additions to your own Articles. Especially when you have multiple NSC articles the Players can't update them with their own Information they got in the running campaign. As advanced writer they only can make and edit their own articles but not mine. so for one NSC article i would have x copy articles one for every player/writer. As editor the player can see all information and secrets, so that is also not an option. I would love to have the option to allow an advanced writer to edit all the information he is allowed to see. So he can edit all the articles he can normaly see but not the secrets, draft articles or articles which are not in his user group.How does this feature request address the current situation?
With this feature a GM could empower his players to contribute to his campaign and the whole player group could use World Anvil as the only information base for the campaign. No need for old analog paper notes!What are other uses for this feature request?
Even for Authors it would be useful. They could organise what articles could be finished by what writer. For example they start with some location articles and NSC. The first writer should help out with only the locations and another one only with the NSC.Follow up

@Michael: Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not an expert in these message boards, but i would like to have all the information regarding one Person / Event / Place and so on in one article. A message board would quickly have a lot of notes for different articles and i fear it wouldn't be hard to sort the information.

on 2022-08-20 18:31I've always found the Writer/Editor permissions to be rather "all or nothing" in terms of a solution. I completely agree with you in that for a collaborative TTRPG situation currently, there is no really good option at the moment. A permission level that allowed people to view/write/edit a collection of articles that they're collectively given access to, such as by being part of a subscriber group, would be awesome.
