Callias walks with Del down the hall, looking up in awe as he sees how gorgeous the place is. "Wow, this is gorgeous. What do you think, najima? A good place to eat, drink and relax?"

a figure walks up to the two "hello a table for two?"

Del's eyes widen at the... opulence? Was that the correct word? She's at a loss for words for a second. "--Ah, absolutely, yes. Oh wow, I was not expecting so many plants. Is this what restaurants look like?" She squeezes his arm, smiling. The white haired person walks up and Del blinks. She exchanges a quick look with Callias and nods. "Ah, yes, please?"

Callias looks around. "Oh, yes that is true. This looks like a fancy restaurant from my world. It almost feels like being home again in this ship." He smiles as Del answers, nodding to confirm.

the figure takes them to a table and places a menu for both "may i get you anything to drink"

Del follows, taking her seat as she continues to look around the dining room. "Bourbon, if you have it?" Of course they did, look at this place, she could probably name a specific brand from a backwater tavern brewed out of a bathtub in Faerun and get exactly the year she wanted. "Neat, please." She cracks the menu, blinking a few times at the choices. "Oh wow, I barely know where to start," She laughs, "Anything jumping out at you, abnamul?"

Callias sits down, still settling into the feeling of being reminded of home. He opens the menu, smiling softly at it. "Hmm, I'm going to order the Wild Mushroom and Parsnip Ragout with Cheesy Polenta, and for a drink, a glass of red wine, any is fine, thank you." It had been a long time since he'd seen fancy menu items, and was feeling a little wild.

Callias orders so confidently, Del clicks her tongue a few times before she catches something that, at the very least, sounds familiar. "Lets see.. maybeee. Some of this bruschetta to share? And.. ahh the spaghettini alla pescatore for me, please. Frutti di marre." Handing the menu back, she gives Callias a smile. "That play was so much fun. I didn't know that was... a thing really."

The Waiter nods "i shall return with your drinks shortly" After a few moments he returns with a glass of vintage red wine and glass of top shelf Burbon "your food will be ready momentary"

Callias smiles as the wine and drink arrive. "Thank you so much." He turns to Del, the light already up in his eyes. "I did not know about that part of the lore either. I learned a good bit about it from Alqamar and Kaito, and how Alqamar has never returned to the Basin as they were supposed to, and then there was of course when Kaito had to return home to rebuild their coast, but much of the lore I hadn't yet looked up. It was amazing to see it in such a medium, as if there experiencing it first hand, far more exciting than just reading about it."

Her smile beams back at him, taking her bourbon with a word of thanks. "Yes! There was so much more going on there than I thought, I didn't know at all about these other demons from the Mayhem pits either," She sips thoughtfully. So many questions. "It's neat how things seem to interconnect that way. It's really beautiful." She looks up at the restaurant again, smiling. "This really is beautiful, too. You said this is like a restaurant from your home plane?"
"I think Silver mentioned once there were more, but I never inquired further than that. And to hear one became two and threatened so much, I'm pretty surprised. And then to hear Precious was connected to the mayhem pits as well, and put back together recently with Es' help, it is interesting how everything interconnects like this." He takes a sip of wine. "Oh yes, the most fancy of places to eat of course, this is very decadent. Not a place I have ever visited myself, but it feels much like the world I knew for a long time. Nostalgic."

The waiter returns placing down the order "Enjoy your meals" he gives a bow and backs away

She nods at Callias, looking alarmed as she remembers. "I heard about that from Es. Something about them becoming Feral? I wonder if it's the nature of the Pits to split people like that?" She looks up as the waiter arrives, smiling. "Thank you-- oh, wow, this looks amazing," She picks up one of the thin slices of bruschetta and glances up at Callias for a few seconds, before setting it down on her plate. Smiling, she reaches across the table to take his hand for a moment, squeezing gently, fingering the leafed bracelet just a little. "I love being here with you. I know I might never get to see your home plane, so if this ship is anything close, I intend to enjoy every second with you."

Callias bows to the waiter. "Thank you so much for the meal." He takes a bite as Del talks, sighing as the delicious food melts in his mouth. This was absolutely scrumptious. He pauses as Del takes his hand, his face softening into a fluffy smile. "I want to show you a few more things before we go visit my world. I don't want to overwhelm you. It's a world of constant loud sounds, millions of people, and infinite sensory overloads. And I know those to be your greatest enemies, so I want to be conscious of that." He looks around. "The quiet spaces like this were a coveted retreat, and I am enjoying every second with you."

Her brows lift, eyes brightening. She hadn't been sure that was on the table, the way he had spoken about his world sometimes, but his explanation has her own expression soften. "You're always so thoughtful. I look forward to it, love. All of it." Del returns his smile, running her thumb over his knuckles before she has to steal her hand back to eat. "It is. It's like having our own little world to ourselves." She takes a bite of bruschetta, her eyes going wide. "Ohh. That is good, give it a try if you like, it's vegetarian." The pasta in front of her was decidedly not, but no less delicious. "Gods, it's been forever since I've had mussels."

Callias takes Del's hand, guiding the other half of the bruschetta in her hand to him to take a bite. "Mmm." He smiles, letting her have her hand back so she could continue to eat. "This is like having our own little world. There hasn't been much time to just enjoy your company without interruption, so this has been very nice." He eats a few more bites of his meal, before circling back. "The biggest thing is the jump response. Everything in my world is sudden and loud, so I want to make sure you're in a place where you could enjoy the trip, rather than find it miserable."
She flushes as he takes her hand and steals a bite, biting the corner of her lip as he smiles at her. It takes a second to remember talking and eating, yes, enjoying the moment. "It really has. Having our nights and mornings together is always my favourite part of the day, but a whole day with you all to myself? It's been a wonderful date, Abnamul. Thank you for thinking of it, it's so..." She sighs, and takes another bite of pasta, at a loss for words. "I don't know if there is a word for that."

His explanation has her nodding carefully; she hadn't thought of that. Faerun was fairly quiet by comparison, it sounded like, even in the busier cities. "That will be something I will have to work on. Even the Nexus has been quiet, so I will have to.. desensitize, right?" She tilts her head slightly, wondering if he'd thought along a solution already.

"When the ship arrived, I asked about your interest in it, as I had heard from others they were letting visitors on board. And the more I heard, the more I realized this would be the perfect chance to take you on a day trip without having to leave the Nexus. Being a master all of the time, being there for others whenever they need it, it is a very rewarding thing. But how could I pass up a chance for us to recharge and replenish ourselves? A perfect chance to reconnect with you, without distractions."

He takes Del's hand one more time, giving it a kiss before allowing them both to continue eating. "Only if you want to desensitize. Traveling to my world is not required, and I'm perfectly happy here. It's entirely up to you. If you so desire a visit, I will help make it happen."

Her smile grows as she hears the thoughtfulness behind the day, the little adventure. After he kisses her hand, Del blinks, suddenly, realizing something. She stands, picking up her chair, and moving it to the right side of the table, closer to Callias, before shifting her plate and bourbon there too. "There, " She sits, her forearm resting comfortably against his and gives him a little, impish smile. "Probably a little unconventional for a fancy place."

She chuckles, dabbing the sauce off her lips with a napkin before kissing his cheek. "You never cease to amaze me. I love you." Del takes a few more bites of food, thinking it over. "Mm. Part of me... this is stupid, but there's a part of me that wants to keep that edge. Being ready to go at a moments notice has saved my life more than once. But," she turns her face to look at him, "I think it's just... a comfort thing. I feel safe here, in the Nexus, with you. My family is safe. I want to see your world, and I don't want to be so... hypervigilant." A quiet little smile. "I want to be my best self."

Callias kisses Del's temple back. "Well, it's just the two of us, and social rules are never something I agreed with to an extent, so I approve of this as well." He finishes the glass of wine and moves to get through the rest of his meal as well. "It makes sense, when you live in constant danger, that sense of survival keeps you alive and keeps you going. It is worrisome when it has been on for so long, it doesn't know how to shut off anymore, so everything is filtered through a fight response. If you think it is your best self, I support this. I just want to see you be able to relax and enjoy life. To really enjoy a moment without worrying."
She nods, finishing off her pasta and taking another swig of the bourbon. The flavours did not go well together. "I do. I don't want to jump out of my skin every time the door flies open or someone shouts my name a firework goes off. I went down during the Thoth fight? Arkmir brought me back and I just--" She lightly puts her palm over her fist, exhaling a sigh. "I've gotten better. Since we've been together, I can lie down to sleep for the first time in. Ever. But I want exactly that; to enjoy a moment without having a hair trigger set me off. Enjoy life and really relax. How's your mushroom.. ragout, you called it?" She props her hand on her chin, watching him with a crooked smile.

Callias nods. "I know the feeling, because it's me, but I won't say I understand how it affects you. It's your personal reaction, but I want to help you through it. And you have gotten a lot better najima, don't undersell yourself." He looks down at his plate, scooping up a forkful and offering a bite to Del. "You are more than welcome to try a bite if you would like."

Del laughs softly, giving him a warm smile. "I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I know. I would love your help, my abnamul." She looks down as Callias offers her a bite, smiling at him as she leans down to take it from his fork. She chews thoughtfully for a moment, nodding with wide eyes. "You weren't kidding, this is amazing."

Callias watches as she tries the bite, just enjoying the sight of watching her smile. So openly having fun, it made his chest feel warm. He would have to thank Nix for allowing them this chance, after everything that had happened recently, this was more than needed. "Oh, you should taste how it pairs with the wine." Callias picks up the glass, seeing a sip left. And something in him decides to be very forward suddenly, taking the sip and holding it in his mouth, before turning to Del, raising an eyebrow in question to see if she would take the offer. He had no idea what was possessing him right now, but he was going with it.

At the offer, Del starts to move her hand toward the glass before... he drinks it? She gives him a puzzled look at his playfulness for a second for a second before it clicks. OH. Her skin darkens with a blush, instantly flustered and... yes. Feeding on his playfulness, she allows herself a little breath to steady herself as she leans in, slowly, inviting him closer with lips slightly parted and heavy eyelids.

Callias meets her mouth, opening his own lips to let the now surely aerated wine flow into her mouth, continuing the kiss even as she swallows. He licks any escaping drops as he breaks the kiss, giving a low chuckle. "It's getting late, shall I walk you home?"

There's a quiet gasp when he pulls away, staring at him with glassy eyes and a drunk smile. Funny for someone who was immune to alcohol. Del swallows again, nodding faintly as she gazes at him. "For starters." She murmurs back, curling her arm through and around his.

Callias laughs, before leaving his gold on the table, and leaving with Del off the ship for the night.
