The Nexus

In many realms, the gods are determined by worship and faith. Their power directly connected to the magnitude of devotion. These gods differ from realm to realm, worshiped only in their own plane. But what of places? Places that exist in every plane, landmarks that have felt the feet, heart, and worship of infinite peoples.   These places transcend realms, receiving veneration from an infinite number of hearts. This created gods that are not people, but abstract places of power driven by what made them gods in the first place. Unlike beings, they do not normally contain desires or plans outside of their original creation.   Some existence far greater found these potential places and decided to carve a plane into existence. To give these transcendent gods a place to exist. One that touches all the worlds that worship them. And so, this something called all of these Places of Power here and decided to create a bridge between them and the peoples that may find this new world, calling them Masters of each realm. They hear the voice and will of these powerful places, and work to help them see out the desires that brought them into existence. Something made a demiplane that balances perfectly where all the strings connecting every other plane intersect, like sitting on an infinity miniscule web. And because of that, anyone from any plane can find their way here, the perfect middlepoint. Full of places you find in every plane, fueled by their collective existence.
