Minotaur
Horned, muscular and bovine humanoids, the minotaurs can be found along the coasts of Bilorr and in the Thusen Archipelago. Minotaurs first came from Zaniq, but were enslaved by the illithids to serve as muscle in their ancient empire. After the fall of that civilization, they migrated west to Bilorr. At first interaction between minotaurs and the Bilorran humans was hostile, but over time the humans became accustomed to them. Some still live in their original homeland, but most are now found in the seas to the west of it.
Minotaurs have a reputation for short tempers and tactical skill, but some are relatively gentle, and most of their cultures value skill in sailing and shipbuilding. Because of this, Ennera is a very popular deity among their communities, and minotaurs are known to be excellent navigators. Minotaur warriors often prefer to fight as mercenaries, as their history of forced combat has caused a distrust of imperial leaders. This is not the same for minotaurs raised under other cultures, however--many minotaurs served honorably under the Livokian Empire.

Naming Traditions
Minotaurs have a single name. In most families, a minotaur who has reached maturity must undergo a coming-of-age trial, usually given by their oldest relative, before being declared an adult and given a new name. During childhood they usually are given the names of a parent, grandparent, or other close relative of the same gender.
