Goliath

Goliaths are native to the World’s Roof Mountains in Avasi. Unlike the dwarves who dwell in caves and mine for treasures underground, the goliaths thrive on the slopes of these mountains, building simple villages into mountain sides or living nomadically.
Goliaths are physically imposing and powerful, able to withstand cold and wounds that would easily finish off the average human. They often prefer living high in the peaks away from human and dwarven settlements, battling yetis, ogres, and other monsters for survival.
Goliaths are deeply religious, and hold the belief that balance between the four gods is necessary to avoid catastrophe. They also value other members of their tribe, as they do not rely on larger communities like some of Avasi’s other races.
They are also are highly competitive, largely due to the meritocratic nature of their societies. However, this competition rarely leads to outright backstabbing, which is considered dishonorable.
