Cult of Abyssos

A sinister cult that has arisen time and again in attempts to release the Dark God back into the world. Many believe that it is lead by Dark Ones that survived the great war which all but destroyed Azurra, the First World. Its many incarnations have been thwarted by great heroes over the centuries, most recently about 17 years ago by the heroes Zeke, Vaylin, Pellton, and Lemarra (who came to be known as The Four Against the Darkness, or simply, The Four).
It was commonly believed that none of the cult survived after this defeat, but there are whispers that it may be returning and led by a mysterious masked mage called 'The Ascendant'. Lumina's Dragoons found a group of well-equipped brigands led by a man in black armor with the markings of The Cult of Abyssos.
