Character: Meriwether Black

Captain Pershival Mung Mung (a.k.a. Meri)

"Meri was a beast of a Morouni; roughly 6’ 5”. Prematurely balding and carrying the weight of several men in his gut. He kept it in place beneath a pair of hiked-up blunderhose, with the waistband snug below his sternum, and a pair of suspenders looped over a mound of flesh that became his shoulders. His face bared the weight of twice its age, and his eyes were drooping and tired. His lips were small, framed by a heavy jawline and upturned snout, but when he spoke, everyone could hear."   Excerpt from The Old Guard of Zerth.

Personal history

Meri was born Pershival Mung. He was delivered via 'pancake-swat' method and allowed to cool before being given his name and a wrench - to which he was expected to perform routine maintenance around the campsite. At the age of 8 years old, Meri was introduced to Wadley Saxo, Potato and Gustav D. Gustav as the three were traveling through the area. The were stunned by the size of the child, as he was nearly 6ft tall, and well over 200lbs. When asked what he was - as the three men weren't nearly familiar with Morouni culture - Meri answered "Merinall" as that was the name of his particular bloodline. From that day on, Meri was his accepted name.   Together, the four men pledged their lives to each other, forming a bond of friendship under the name The Old Guard. Their duties were to drink - cause havoc, pay for damages and drink some more.
