Ka'Tset
Ka'Tset is a large strip of land along the northern ridge of the Ga'Koren Mountains. The ground was heavily charred and is completely infertile, resulting in a desert wasteland.
History
While no one has definitive proof of what occurred, there are many legends among the Orcs of Northern Gathorem and the giants of Southern Gathorem. Across the various legends from the two sides, three similarities almost always remain. The first consistent characteristic is mention of wars, spanning centuries, plunging the land into frequent chaos. The second is the existence of a race long-since vanished from the land, rumored to have wielded tremendous power. The third is mention of cataclysmic force, carving across the land north of the mountains, scorching its surface and making it completely infertile.Geography
The region is a desert wasteland. Most of the ground is dry, cracked, and, even when the rain does fall on the region, the water is swallowed up almost immediately. The separation between the lush Grell Woods and Ka'Tset is a distinct line. While there are some hills, the majority of the region is flat, weathered away by the winds sweeping across the barren landscape.
Fauna & Flora
Plant and animal life is almost non-existent within the region. Scavengers such as mice and vultures move through the region looking for carcasses to feast on, but food is scarce.
