Sant Adorenne

Sant Adorenne is named after Holy Adorenne, a woman who helped peacefully unify the nobility of Brisaides into a singular political power, ending war and strife on the continent. The region is famous for its defensible terrain. It is nearly split in two by mountain ranges. The mountain pass that allows travel to the north is guarded by a fortress built into the mountains themselves. The capital city is small, but located near another fortress built onto a hilltop with an open field below. There are rumors that both fortresses are connected via a system of tunnels through the mountains in order to allow the nobility to escape if necessary. Most of their goods are imported, but the region does produce many luxury goods which are in high demand. The capital is not only the seat of power for the ruling class, but also the location of the College of Brisaides. Admission is costly, and requires many connections, but it has produced some of the greatest scholars in recent history. Additionally, it houses one of the largest libraries in existance with volumes upon volumes of historical texts, fiction, poetry, and reproductions of artwork through the ages.

Geography

Sant Adorenne is divided by a vast mountain range. The land is not as fertile as Sant Marcelle to the north, but trees and farmlands are still abundant.

Natural Resources

Sant Adorenne mostly uses the resources gathered by the northern region. They keep large stockpiles of preserved foods in their fortresses, and recieve fresh goods whenever possible. However, they do grow their own flowers for dyes, spices, and other luxury goods to the west. When needed, logging camps are established around the wooded areas.
