Brandrshire
Brandrshire once housed the capital of the Oleron Empire. When the Emperor passed away, leaving no known heir, Ser Kaslot Grandwing Brandr took control of the region. Brandr was the Marshal of the Imperial Military, and claimed to have a rite of inheritance given to him by the Emperor himself upon death. The other nobles disputed this however, and the Oleron civil wars began.
The region is mostly self sufficient, and has the highest population among the new nation states of Oleron. Its only struggle is a lack of minerals to consistently create tools and weapons for its people and military. To supplement this, they have tried to import these goods from the tribes of Skaldheim and Ratimir. However, the trade routes to the north and east have been plagued by pirates. Ser Brandr has tried to establish mines along the mountains but bandits and the forces of Perrinshire have made it difficult.
While Brandrshire's leadership is strong, and its lands lush and full of cultural significance, the region struggles to defend itself against those challenging Ser Brandr's authority.
Geography
Brandrshire consists primarily of lush grasslands with small hills scattered through out. It has access to the eastern sea as well as a large river that runs through it. On its western borders a large forest rests at the foot of the mountains.
Natural Resources
The grasslands provide ample grain to the cities of Brandrshire. The western forest provide wood, as well as meats and leathers from hunting. The rivers and ocean also provide access to fish, but the infrastructure was never put in place to make it a consistent resource.
