Abbalane

Abbalane is home to the Spit breeding and training capital of the world, known for their unique training courses for the most well behaved, and trustworthy spit dragons money can buy.  Of course, buying spit dragons is becoming more and more controversial as the fight for giving all spit dragons citizenship from birth rampages on.
In Abbalane, Farm Blights are very common as families of Farm blights settled here generations ago, and many move here to this day.  Farm Blights can talk to any animal which walks on the ground through their minds and can also read the thoughts of all animals.  In a simple-minded animal, this comes down to knowing when a chicken feels hungry or frightened.  In a spit dragon, this means they know every thought this creature with human intelligence thinks and how to manipulate them.
Spit dragons are raised and bred for intelligence and obedience.  They are often trained for their career than are brought by an organization which can use the abilities they were raised to have.  When a company buys a spit dragon, they are usually contracted to work for a certain amount of time, with a living space.  Then, when the time is up, they are free to leave and live out their lives.  Others are bought by families in more recent years, this is often seen as adoption, and happens at a young age.  Many families will raise them as if they are another child in their family.  This is becoming more and more common, making more families feel letting companies buy spit dragons as cruel.
Abbalane was once known as a national treasure, training all the spit dragons making up police forces, mail carriers and many other blue-collar, or bottom ranking positions in law enforcement.  Now, as spit dragons have started to be seen more as people then animals it is starting to be seen as the capital of the slave trade.
