Mysid (Miss-sid)
This settlement has been affectionately given the nickname "Little Truce" due to its strong ties to The Magocracy and overall stronger-than-average presence of magic users. One thing that does set Mysid apart, however, is that the overall attitude and power structure of the town is more evenly split between arcane, nature and divine magic users; all three branches of magic are seen as roughly equally important. Therefore one would find not just a large host of artificers, bards, sorcerers, and wizards, but also a fair amount of clerics, druids, paladins, rangers and warlocks. Because of this and the town's proximity to Balam and Yasoga, the amount of class diversity is some of the best in all of Feland.
Another unique thing about Mysid is that it is one of the few settlements in Feland where Alexandrium does not pose a problem for many miles around the area. The reason for this is that the town was settled on top of a field of a very rare type of Alexandrium that is white in color and unlike most other varieties, this color is entirely beneficial to the nearby environment. In fact, the center of Mysid had a great shrine erected on top of this field and a very large hexagonal crystal floats atop a dais to signify the founding of the town and also act as a center of peace, tranquility and healing.
