Limlomin (Lim-low-min)
Originally meant to be a magnificient trading hub, Limlomin is a semi-recent port town settled within the past century that has failed to find its purpose despite its best efforts. Before reliable maps of Zatvor were drawn, the settlers of Limlomin believed that going north along the coast of Norost would reveal an area of the continent that would either be close to other landmasses or could serve as an epicenter for trade and travel between the rest of Feland's coastal settlements. Thus far, time and location have proven both ideas to be difficult, if not outright false. Despite this, however, the local government has done its best to promote tourism, migration, job opportunities and more to help grow the town and build the dream it was founded on. This, however, only served to bolster a dark side of Limlomin that has only gotten darker in recent years and may, in fact, define its future - piracy.
With how far Limlomin is from larger settlements and areas of authority it didn't take long for enterprising - and morally deficient - minds to realize that the town could become a great hideaway for nerdowells. Even if the settlement hasn't become the massive trading hub it had hoped to be, that doesn't mean it serves no purpose for your average bandit, pirate, ruffian and so forth. Over time the town's local authority, and even much of its government, has either turned a blind eye to the obvious lawlessness or become part of it. What's ironic as well is that Limlomin's dream of growing into a trading hub may actually be coming true because of the crime present at its core. Some would argue that the efforts and organization of the pirate crews and mob families are doing a better job of it than the legitimate government ever did. Still, does that excuse the rampant gambling, theft, gang wars, human trafficking and sex trade?
