Edea Williams (Ee-dee-uh Will-ee-yums)
Often referred to as "Mistress", "Madame Sorceress" or "Headmistress" by the populace of Balam, Edea helps her husband, Cyd Williams run the day-to-day operations, especially anything to do with the arcane arts. She comes from a similar militaristic background, having served with Feland's military for several decades, but was a boots-on-the-ground sorcerer who gained fame for being able to perform amazing feats of devastation and destruction when the situation called for it. Rumors are abound that her powers were so great at one point that she even had the ability to manipulate time itself.
In the modern day, Edea has spent several years away from the battlefield proper, focusing instead on preparing new generations for warfare as best as she can in order to ensure the safety of the nation, but especially the people of Balam and her lover Cyd Williams. Despite the long time as a hardened magic user of war, she carries herself very well among the common folk and has a great deal of empathy for other people. Those who meet her and speak to her at length would never be able to tell that this same person was, at one point, capable of wide swaths of scorched earth.
