The largest city in the Desert of Glass, Tomeset is the ruling city over Emberhold and Thair. Most know for the mysterious giant obelisk in the center of the city, it is a city that values knowledge over all.

Demographics

The city is a healthy mix of many races and cultures, it invites people from all over the world to learn of the knowledge they have acquired over time.

The government is run by King Voth, and his word is the final one.

Tomeset has its own small military, as well as two cities full of capable warriors under its rule. In recent times it has allied itself with the Golden Empire, and has many soldiers there from that alliance.

Most of their tradable goods are crafted items, knowledge, or subterranean resources.

Infrastructure

many of the magical Scribes have discovered ways to use magic to better their society. Endless fountains of water make life there possible, as The Obelisk was found in the middle of the desert, with no water in sight. most of their food comes from some small artificial farms, and from trade. Magical platforms are used as ways to transport people from various areas of the city to others.
