Emberhold is one of the various city states of Anadare. Governed by The Queen of Fire their culture revolves around fire.

Demographics

Fire Queen Omisan is economically and socially adept, and has put into place a system that leaves no person starved. Citizens are given the bare necessities to survive, at the cost of a hefty tax. To become a citizen, you must go through a lengthy process to prove to the leading figures of Emberhold that you are worthy of being given the benefits of Emberhold. This system makes the lowest wealth class a very livable one. wealth is a very respectable and valued in their society, so there is still a large range of wealth among the citizens of the city.

Government

All decisions in the interest of the city are made by Fire Queen Omisan, she has a council called The Candelabra, an organization of 8 Candellors that make some of the minor decisions not worthy of Fire Queen Omisan. The Emberguard act as the police force in Emberhold, they act in service to The Cendelabra.

Defences

The city sits in the heart of the Desert of Glass, so getting an entire army there can already prove itself to be a challenge, once you get to the heart, you need to find it. the city is sorrounded by a wall of glass. This wall makes the city nearly invisible unless within a certain distance. Once an army gets to the walls, they are met with the destructive power of the Unending Flame, as well as thousands of loyal soldiers watching the walls. This city is one of the most prominent militarily forces in Anadare, second only to Ebonstar.

Industry & Trade

Guarded caravans traverse the deserts and act as middle men for the city, bringing goods in and out. They also get a lot of traffic in the Golden River, so trade is a common occurance.

Infrastructure

As the city has a special appreciation for fire, they have become masters in its many applications. They are famous for their candles that boast various scents and of long durations, they are known for their beautiful lanterns. They have also mastered fire in the art of war. They have found an oil that when set on fire, can burn for days. They have constructed methods of launching this oil across medium distances, and can be used for military conflict.

Assets

They have a potent military, as well as sought after pottery, candles, and various glass items. Their city sits in the middle of the Desert of Glass, and sits on the Golden River.

Guilds and Factions

Candlelighters are a government funded group that are responsible for keeping the city lit at night.
