Most of their culture revolves around the gods and the discovery of the unknown. They are constant stargazers and are nocturnal, so nearly all of their activity occurs after nightfall. They celebrate the gods often and always hope to know more of them. The return of Expeditions are always met with a large celebration and are a holiday in their own right.

Observers or the
High Observer is a very serious crime.
It is common to say "Shalis" as a greeting, and "May the unfound find you", and "stars guide you", or "Roshan" as a goodbye.

Painting and jewelry are commonly appreciated art forms in
Lunan, and its architecture is just as beautiful. The buildings are made of a purple crystal material that is common in the area. This material is combined with a white marble that is common near
The Elder Forest to make some of the most beautiful structures in all of Katal. Most structures have multiple floors to try to stay as close as possible to the gods.
Moon Elves often do most of their business at night, and prefer to be nocturnal. They also take all the time necessary to record new discoveries.
Children are preferably born at night, though without magical interference, it is difficult to control. Children born at night are believed to be blessed with a keen mind.
When a Moon Elf comes of age they are given an Umbral Stone. This small amethyst is worn by most Moon Elves as a piece of jewelry for the rest of their lives.
Burial, similar to
Sun Elves, is seen as taboo and a disrespect to the dead. The dead are instead burned in a purple magic fire and the ashes rise to the sky.
Lying and keeping secrets are seen as very taboo and will cause many Moon Elves to be very untrusting.
The Umbral Tower is believed to have been gifted to the Moon Elves by the gods themselves, as no builder is known, and the spire predates any historical text about the city.
