Government
Heartharin is run by the Morningstar Assembly , a group of religious leaders. They act as an oligarchy for running the city.
Defences
There is a formidable wall that surrounds the city, and is constantly watched. Heartharin also sits atop the Tempest Peaks, a tall mountain range that is constantly hit by strong storms. there are few paths to Heartharin, and they are not comfortable ones.
Industry & Trade
Due to the difficult location, it is very taxing to trade with the outside world. Cleric Pathfinders guide the way for travelers and merchants and ensure the safe travel for trade.
Infrastructure
With the surplus of clerics in the city, they can take advantage of their divine magic. Braziers are dotted all around the city, and are lit constantly, even through storms. Healing is also something in great supply, and diseases are almost always immediately snuffed out through restoration magic.
Guilds and Factions
Worshipers of every god in the Dalorian Pantheon can be found here, and for some this place is the main home for their religion.
History
The city was founded by a Oath of the Forge Paladin going on his Forge Pilgrimage. He befriended the fire giants of the region and found the Obsidion Forge, a large pillar of obsidian with lava flowing down the middle. This has now been repurposed into a forge.
Architecture
Stone makes up most of the building materials in Heartharin. They have mostly gable rooves made from a dark wood. The walls are often thick and sealed, to keep the warmth in and the cold out.
Geography
Heartharin sits high up in the Tempest Peaks. This mountain range is famous for it's fierce storms and freezing cold climate. Early settlers here believed living here would be a test of their faith, and would allow them to prove themselves to their gods. This sentiment stands to this day, and the residents have grown stubborn and hard willed because of it.
Natural Resources
A great variety of metals can be found here, as well as Dragon Teeth, a very important plant for many alchemists and herbalists.
