Pakatnamu

Pakatnamu is an ancient place of pilgrimage where the northern Muchik lesser nobility has often convened to bury their dead and honor their ancestors. The sanctuary rests upon a citadel perched on a cliff facing the ocean. On the way up the ramp from the sea rests a small community dependent on the labor of funerary services, tomb artisans, the selling of offerings, and even implicitly, robbing the tombs. Atop the citadel and behind the guarded walls lays the great graveyard of commoners, and many pyramidal mounds of aristocratic families.
