The Lord of Vapore incarnates the values of the city he commands. He represents civilization's last stand, and will fight with his life to protect it.

Appointment

The lord of Vapore is elected directly by the Council of the Elders, but in past times was acclaimed by the crowd.

During the cerimony following the election, the has-to-become-lord enters the Sacred Mere, addresses a prayer to the gods and dons the golden plate. From then on, he is the lord of Vapore.

Duties

The Lord of Vapore has to care about the common folk, and the city in general. He has to take part in public cerimonies and sign laws approved by the council of the elders. In times of war has to charge at the head of the army into battles.

Responsibilities

Even if the laws are emitted in his name, the Lord has little to say about major political subjects. he is only responsible for the well being of the inhabitants of Vapore, in particular he is responsible of keeping the streets safe, maintaining public hygiene and upkeeping the public infrastructures.

Benefits

The title of lord of Vapore is almost symbolical. The only benefit coming with the title is the right to speak first during a council, and in times of war lead the army into battle. He has even to mantain himself with his personal means.

Accoutrements & Equipment

During public events, the Lord wears the Golden Plate, an enchanted piece of armor that belonged to Lady Lynne.
