Vir'Aeldvari

Tangle Elves (formerly sap’Aeldvari) are dryad-like Wild Elves who are also called Tree Elves, Root Elves, and Green Elves. They are attuned to Nature magic and are diurnal.   Tall at an average of 6’, Tangle Elves are the most physically imposing of the common subraces, as their builds range from dense to muscular to thicc. Their skin tends to be medium to dark brown or grey-brown with bark-like markings; their untameable hair is either a vibrant shade of green or autumnal orange; and their eyes are almost always an emerald green with white sclera.   Tangle Elves are known for their unruffleable demeanor, rock-solid strength, and extraordinary gentleness. Their aesthetic predominantly features living flowers and vines over carved wood or naturally-shaped stone, and they have no permanent architecture that is not more tree than building. They are moderately manabound, preferring mana once a week, and live an average of 1,500 years.   Their language, Virvaren or Virfar, is a deep tonal language that those outside their subrace find difficult or impossible to speak, but they usually also speak High Aeldvaren.
