Clan Gemseeker

The Clan of Gemseeker is an old and influential noble house from the Confederate city of Amystra. They are said to have splintered off from the ruling Clan Glittergem and enjoy a long-standing rivalry with them.   Politically, the Gemseekers have historically been aligned with House Steelfall, making them a bit of an oddity among the Gnomish clans of Amystra. The family makes their money by trading in expensive historical and/or magical artifacts.   Notable members of Clan Gemseeker, in 738 AR:
  • Highlord Warryn Gemseeker has been the patriarch of the Gemseekers for over 250 years. He likes to portray himself as an eccentric scholar of ancient artifacts, but most would know that this is more of a front. His true passion lies in Having Cooler Shit Than the Next Guy. That being said, Warryn is quite knowledgeable about his artifacts and how to find the right buyer for them. He keeps an extensive personal collection of artifacts that "no sane gnome could put a price on".
  • Lady Lorilla Gemseeker is Warryn's eldest daughter. Her mother, the late lady Bimpnottin Gemseeker-Murnig passed away shortly after her birth. For the 200 years of her life, Lorilla has been trained by her father to be the next head of the family. She is a shrewd businesswoman who is much less concerned with optics than her father, but potentially surpasses him in intellect.
  • Igden Gemseeker is Lorilla's younger brother. He is the bastard son of Highlord Warryn but was officially legitimized shortly after his birth. No one knows for certain who the mother is. He was exiled from his family a number of years ago for unknown reasons. It stirred quite the hubbub among the Amystran aristocracy. He is currently stripped of all titles and his whereabouts are unknown.
