Rise of Mortal Dominion

A timeline of major events that follows the important moments of mortal history, from the beginning of Mortal Dominion(MD) to the current age.

Age of Joys

1247 MD 1743 MD

Thanks to mortal heroes, the world enters a new era of previously unknown peace. Threats still roam the lands, and heroes must still rise to the challenge. But peace is widely known by most of mortal kind.

    The Church of the Weaver
    Founding

    The grand endless shelves of the Church began as nothing more than a single, one room temple with simple wooden furniture, and a single shelf of tomes. Mages and priests who stumbled upon the small site left offerings of gold and goods, but many began to leave behind simple tomes. As those few came and went, blessings found themselves to the temple as many adopted the site as a pilgrimage in hard times, or an act of devotion. Slowly the shelves of the Church swelled with new knowledge, ultimately growing to where it is now.

    1552 MD


    Ravenon, Maldirieth, The Guild
    Founding

    The mage Praxis Ravenon gathers the scattered but powerful individuals from across the realm, to protect themselves from extinction. The mage, now turned lich known as Maldirieth had begun hunting down those gifted with great power and prowess. Heroes, from small towns to kingdoms and their capitals all in danger of falling and rising again as part of the lich's undying horde.   Rallied and determined, the adventurers fight back against the lich and scour the globe to find their like in other places. Many lives lost, but in the end Praxis sacrificed himself to capture the lich within an eternal gem, teleported to the deepest crust of the world. From within the gem the two wizards would fight an eternal duel, compelled never to stop and never to fall.   In the wake of the defeat of the lich and Praxis' sacrifice, the remaining adventurers sought to keep their brotherhood that had seen them through so many hard times already. Thus, the Guild of Ravenon was born, a home for the dangerous wanderers and selfless heroes of Kelember.

Age of Radiance

1756 MD and beyond

In the many hundreds of years since the end of the Hellish Incursion, mortal life has grown and prospered. Heroes roam the lands to keep the terrors of the world away, and peace has bred innovation in magic to usher the world forward.
