Casilla Maw
A lovable equitoid, Natani Melle's assistant in the Galanti League. Casilla's passion for building relationships between and within communities has made her an invaluable asset to the organisation.
Casilla has become an advocate for pansexual visibility after her identity had been questioned by many in her life. Together with the entire Galanti League, she has cultivated love and acceptance on many planets throughout the Galanti Cluster.
Dress to Impress
Casilla's preferred clothing comes in the form of tight corsets, made of a squishy coral native to planet Kuvan. These are common forms of clothing for any equitoid, and Casilla chooses to wear her corsets at all times, to showcase her native planet's culture.
Kuvanian corsets are tied up from the back, leaving the chest completely protected. Oftentimes, these corsets are designed to withstand great pressure.
Isn't wearing that corset all day uncomfortable? Mmm, you get used to it. It's actually quite enjoyable now.
Kuvanian corsets are designed to be uncomfortable, as many equitoids believe it enforces resilience. Casilla challenges this belief and wears comfortable corsets.
Casilla also enjoys adorning her snout with various gems and crystals. She is often seen wearing a bright yellow crystal, with bright green kelp extensions.
She will also collect her teeth as they fall out, and fashion them into jewelry for her leaguemates.
Designer Clothing
Casilla's outfits are crafted by famed designer Jakson Port. His award-winning designs are affordable for few, but Casilla has been gifted many.
Casilla and Natani
While the League was ruled by Galanis Furora, Casilla would frequently disobey intructions and orders, believing Furora to be a liability. Even at the risk of losing her role in the League she would stand by her own morals, defended by Natani who would frequently defend her.
Casilla's sexuality was constantly questioned by Galanis, who would frequently doubt her identity on the basis she had only ever dated men in the past. Natani was always by her side, who had dealt with similar troubles from Galanis.
The two only grew closer while under Galanis's rule, becoming an unseparable pair.
Their friendship has remained just as strong, as Natani leads the Galanti League. Casilla was made his assistant, offering feedback, advice, and support wherever Natani might need it.
Hydromancy
As every member of the Galanti League has ties to magic, Casilla specialises in hydromancy. Her abilities are one of the most sought after in the League, and her mastery of magics has made her one of the most powerful members.
Her fifty years of training has allowed Casilla to control entire oceans with just a single thought. This does, however, cause great physical pain.
Casilla is capable of drawing water vapour in the atmosphere together, and has repeatedly provided deserted civilisations around the Galanti Cluster with a reliable source of water.
During a supermassive storm on planet Kebadu, Casilla was able to divert a flash flood from destroying several small settlements in its raging path. This act of courage awarded her the Santress title, a coveted social ranking very few acquire.
Casilla is one of our most exceptional members. She never fails to put her all in her work, and she has dedicated a number of years to aid struggling civilisations around the poorer planets in the Galanti Cluster. Her work ethic cannot be topped, and she has brought all of us in the League closer together.
Building Bridges... Or Oceans
Perhaps Casilla's most astonishing feat occurred thirty years ago. In a sixteen year long drought on desert planet Uzana, the stubborn, uptight uzanans finally requested help from the Galanti League. Casilla led a rescue operation to revitalise the planet.
After introducing hydrokinetic machinery that generate thousands of gallons an hour, the League assumed that drought problems had been fixed. Just two months later, the League received a distress call from Uzana. Unfortunately, a temperature spike completely destroyed the machinery and all water sources in a two hundred mile radius had completely dried up.
And after a painstaking internal debate, Casilla decided to use her powers to try and generate an artificial freshwater ocean. She stood in the centre of a massive canyon, at least a thousand metres deep and twice the width. She burst into the air and flung herself back down into the canyon, smashing into the ground. Water began seeping through the cracks of the ground, flooding the valley.
In just a couple of hours, the rushing water filled the canyon, forming a grand freshwater ocean. Thankfully, the ocean was too large to dry up in the drought; water broke into smaller valleys and created massive rivers, rejuvinated the arid landscapes, and brought life back into Uzana.
Casilla was forced to rest for six months after this incredible feat, but she gained recognition throughout the Milky Way for her actions.
