ᛏᚺᛖ ᚢᛗᚨᛏᚺᛁ (Pronounced The Umathi which originates from the Sahrfikan word for Ravage) better known as the Ravagers are a barbaric tribe living up in the frigid land of Sahrfiken. The Umathi are believed to be the sole perpatrators of the 30-Year War of Golivion. Historians speculate that the Umathi were created sometime between 465 GT to 467 GT, and that their one sole purpose was to follow Auril's will to lead Sahrfiken to power.   During the 30-Year War The Umathi led most of Sahrfiken's troops into battle. The Umathi were extremely deadly and efficient combatants, taking out entire armies in a little under half an hour. While usually outnumbered in people and technology, The Umathi's will and rage allowed them to win most of their battles. Having spent most of their time up north The Umathi have gained the ability to resist the affects of the cold most experience in Sahrfiken. While a large number of Umathi turn to the path of war some Umathi show a favoring towards cryomancy and cold manipulation.   While most historians don't know how the Umathi started, the actual Umathi know their clan started with Erik Starwing. Erik Starwing was a descendant of Thorhak Iscildur and Jumar Iscildur I. Erik was a 14 year old living in Yershmier when one night he gained a vision from the goddess of winter Auril. Auril informed of Erik of a land she had recently created in her image, a land that was formed to conquer. Enjoying the sound of the promise of power and being a faithful follower of Auril Erik followed Auril's directions to the new land.   Alone with only his trusty Mastiff to comfort him Erik sailed across the Rothelian Sea blindly following his goddess. It took Erik seven days to cross the sea to this new land Auril spoke about. When Erik arrived he was greeted by a frozen uninhabitable wasteland. For three days Erik wandered this icy landscape looking for some sign from Auril. Finally one day Erik passed out and was left out in the cold to die.   Fortunately Erik was discovered by a nearby tribe of natives. The natives graceously took Erik to their village and nursed him back to health. When Erik awoke he was greeted by half naked native warriors who seemed unbothered by the cold. These warriors were specifically created by Auril to protect this land. Fortunately for Erik these warriors had heard of the arrival of a man from a distant land. Auril had told the natives to treat and respect Erik like a king because that's what he was.   The natives of the land listened to Auril and appointed Erik to position of chief. The natives listened and believed everything Erik said about Golivion and this land's power to conquer Golivion. Trusting Erik and most of all Auril this tribe came up with a plan to gain more and more power. Over the next 10 years this tribe started conquering and ravaging nearby tribes. This tribe quickly gained the name The Umathi or the Ravagers. Soon The Umathi held control of up to 90% of this island's land. Nearly every single tribe fell under the rule of Emperor Starwing and The Umathi.   Over these 10 years The Umathi christened the land they lived on as Sahrfken (meaning the Winter's Land in Sahrfikan). Emperor Starwing also got married to a member of The Umathi known as Astrid. Erik and Astrid had two children Sigrid and Halfdan. On Erik's second son's (Halfdan) birthday, the entirety of Sahrfiken banded together and declared war on the rest of Golivion.   The rule of the Umathi would surprisingly turn over to 9 year old Halfdan Starwing when he seized control of his father's throne. Over the next 30 years Halfdan would make a number of dangerous plays that would lead Sahrfiken to almost near victory during the war.   Unfortunately, Sahrfiken lost to the Alliance of Peacekeeping in 506 GT. With this came the death of Halfdan Starwing and many of his loyal followers. Following Sahrfiken's defeat Yershmier and Etwere occupied the country. The countries of Yershmier and Etwere pushed what was left of The Umathi far up north and led them to almost near extinction. While the Umathi resided up north Etwere and Yershmier worked together to create a new form of government for Sahrfiken before they stopped occupying it.   For the next 700 years The Umathi were stuck up north forced into solitude and complience as the People's Republic of Sahrfiken ruled the land they once did.   NOTABLE PEOPLE   Erik Starwing (Human) (Emperor of Sahrfiken from 466-485 GT) Deceased (452-516 GT): Executed when Etwere soldiers found him trying to bring The Umathi back to power.   Astrid Starwing (Human) (Emperess of Sahrfiken from 470-485 GT) Deceased (449-517 GT): Killed by trap when trying to sneak into a Helvetin Kipna temple looking for aid.   Sigrid Starwing (Human) (Son to Emperor Erik Starwing, Brother to Emperor Halfdan Starwing) Deceased (475-503 GT): Executed by Emperor Halfdan Starwing when he found out Sigrid was being controlled by the Mind Spike God Killer to spy on The Umathi.   Halfdan Starwing (Human) (Son to Emperor Erik Starwing, Emperor of Sahrfiken from (485-506 GT) Deceased (476-506 GT): Executed by Yershmiran General Thormil when The Umathi Capital was stormed and captured. Non-aggression/Allies

In the past the Shadowed Eyes and The Umathi have worked together to create chaos across Sahrfiken. Most leaders of The Umathi trust the Shadowed Eyes well enough, while most Shadowed Eyes do not trust The Umathi believing them to be only pawns in a larger game.

Non-aggression, Respectful

The Umathi and the Helvetin Kipna have had a long lasting relationship of mutual respect.
