The badlands - west
The badlands are the worst of the pillaging. Nearly everything was stolen, including the cement for buildings, the metal in lightpoles, if it existed and wasnt sand, it was taken by the orcs and ogres. Due to the pure lack of everything, unless people are traveling they normally avoid this lands. Anything that is setup will be taken by the orcs and ogres.
Surprisingly though they are willing to trade, and are unwilling to pillage too big of settlements due to their smaller warbands. The ogres prize meats while the orcs prize their metals, both prize shinies. making great mercenaries, many groups will hire them, their portal opens pretty commonly to send out troops, and a small encampment sits around it toasting what creatures they can find.
The railroad here is a breakpoint between 2 areas, and a still powered electric fence protects the tracks. This has forced ALL people to use the scattered about bridges to move from one side to another, or one of the few opening crosses. The lone trainstop has been ransacked as well and left marks of the orcs and ogres making many refuse to use it out of fear they may still be nearby.
One weird known fact about here though, is buildings keep being revealed by the sands, and just as before ransacked via the orcs. Many claim that these buildings were already torn down, yet they reappear again and again. This have given the orcs and ogres a infinite pillaging oppertunity but it is quite slow as well.
