Eden, the floating city - South east
The floating city of eden runs off of magic crystals to keep it floating. A source of infinite food via growbeds and hydroponics, and infinite water via a personalized rift made for the city, Its completely fueled off the resource the war was after, and therefore is a massive target to the world. Taking to the skies, it made it impenetrable to any normal siege, Leaving it relatively unharmed from the chaos war.
The city is split into 4 layers, with the higher layers being considered the better to live on than the bottom. Having firm belief in their leaders, the town has become a theocracy, ruled by the belief in the gods and the ones who can speak with them. being told if they can wait out the storm, the world will return to be theirs once more.
The lowest of the floors has the most of the military, being prepared for any invasion, the PSICOM are the guardians of who comes and go, with the world below being seen as corrupted, they don't often open their hands to the outside world, and have a strict immigration policies. In response as well, those who live there are normally banned to leave without good reason. In addition the guardian corps, or the civil protectors of the city also are based out of this floor, and walk the city to ensure peace.
The third lowest floor is where the factories are, where people recycle used products and clothing into anew, and use any outside material to make new goods for the city. Backbreaking labor also occurs here as well as the lowest form of housing, being tight and compact, many live here for their first years, and many die here due to the bad conditions.
The second lowest floor is where the hydroponics and research bays are, leading to more white collar jobs, and better living conditions as result. with less compression, anyone who gets promoted to this floor normally lives their life out happily, though they try to ignore where they came from as much as possible. Those born on this floor are seen as a higher rank than those who were promoted to it, but no real benefits to either.
the top floor is where the nicest of the living is, and is home to the Sanctums religious buildings, religious leaders and the fabled rift of endless water. Many wish to be promoted up here, but one must have a strong connection to be even considered for the job of priest, the lowest of the jobs at the top, where they still must commute from lower floors. The scantum leaders have been attempting to better improve lives of all, but limited space causes problems the larger the population. As such in the past, the top has had to become extra housing and lower quality, leading to stricter immigration rulings.
