Hailing from ‘The Azure Sanctum’, a monastery hidden within the Trunsteev Mountains, Gao has only known a life of study and training.
The Azure Sanctum takes in lost souls looking for a new start in life, yet for Gao, he remembers nothing but the time at the Sanctum. Abandoned as a babe, the Kensai took in the child which they later named Gao, and he grew to be a strong and confident individual.
A powerful Kensai, Gao became a master of the Sanctum, taking on select students of his own. Over two decades, Gao had four students under his tutelage.
Jinsu (Elijah Steel) - the headstrong ex-convict.
Kasumi (???) - the stoic and dangerous enigma.
Shi (Leucis Magus) - the lazy and childish prankster.
Ming (Sara) - the charming, orphaned hacktervist.
A few years ago, the Azure Sanctum came under attack while Gao and his students were away following poor intel. By the time they returned, the damage had near enough been done. A barbaric trap sent Gao off a cliff side, tumbling to the river below.
Bruised and bloodied, a dying Gao was discovered by a lone half elf woman by the name of Ilara. She nursed him back to health, and for over two years, he repaid her kindness with company and assistance. The two became close.
Ilara unfortunately fell ill, and passed away swiftly one winter.
Grasping onto his past life, Gao ventured out to the wide world to find out what happened that fateful day he lost everything.
