Phalus I Netra Tijone (Common Tinjongnian: feɪlʌs nɜtrɑ tiʒoʊn)
Third Vaintoreks of Tinjongnia Phalus Netra Tijone, I
General Information
(Born Andalafynks Phalus Netra Tijone) Phalus is the son and only child of Vaintoreks Vicyli II. Phalus I became Vaintoreks at the age of 13 on the death of his father in 1530. Phalus I is the first Vaintoreks to wear a mostly-purple military-esque imperial uniform that would become a tradition for future Vaintorekses.First Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War
In 1531, he'd approve negotiations for the end of the First Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War which required Xivenyu Emperor Anrad I to pay 300,000 Tinjoes to the Tinjongnian Imperial Government and the recongnition of a newly demarcated border between Tinjongnia and Xivenya. Xivenya would not lose much territory as a result of the conflict, but the humiliation of the Xivenyu Army and government would have a massive impact on Tinjongnian-Xivenyu relations.Second Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War
In 1567, the Tolu-Demeran-Xivenyu War or Second Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War starts because of several border disputes between the Kypir (and Sai Oveur) Impae IV of Tolu-Demer and Xivenyu Emperor Voel I. Tinjongnia woud be pulled into the war due to its military alliance with Tolu-Demer established in 1521. The war would last only 2 years with Tolu-Demer and Tinjongnia ultimately convincing Xivenya to halt its military actions once again and pay 100,000 tinjoes to the Tolu-Demeran Government and not take military action for the next 10 years. The worst atrocity committed during this war was perpetrated by Tinjongnian Imperial General Yirud Julien, a Toluan noble who transfered into the Tinjongnian Army during the First Tinjongnian-Xivenyu War, eventually being declared Imperial General in 1545. In the spring of 1569, Yirud would conduct a raid, approved by Phalus I, on the Xivenyu border town of Arenai. During the raid, which was originally meant to disrupt Xivenyu communications along the Tinjongnian-Xivenyu border, turned into an onslaught as Yirud commanded soldiers to fire upon unarmed Xivenyu villagers, most likely in retaliation for the Xivenyu attacks in Tolu, one of which was against his hometown. Around 1,200 Xivenyu people would die, including women, children, nobles, and several dozen stationed Xivenyu soldiers, as well as a Xivenyu captain. After the War
Yirud would be reprimanded by Phalus I after hearing of the atrocities of Yirud, but not criminally punished nor removed from his position. However, he would later be removed by Vaintoreks Thejari and exiled to Syvona for his atrocities, being the only Imperial General to be removed. Phalus I would experience several periods of unrest within Tinjongnia after the war, but would die in his sleep of old age in 1576.Social
