Pen, the Clockwork Goddess

The Order of the Clockwork Goddess began as a Goblin religion but one of the central tennets is that all races are welcome so long as they share the love of mechanical creation. As a result the Order is one of the most diverse religions in all of Xen, and is probably the reason Goblins care so little about racial purity. The name of the titualar goddess is Pen, though it is considered rude for ousiders to refer to her as such. There are few rituals in the order, and the Clockwork Goddess demands no tributes. As is with all deities she cannot physically manifest in the mortal world but is able to possess and control androids created by the Order for this purpose. When operating these vessiles the Clockwork Goddess is strangly casual in her manner. She is friendly, excitable, and deeply curious with all things mechanical. When a follower invokes the Clockwork Goddess it is not to smite enemies or gain power but to figure out how to make some gizmo work. She is one deity more at home with oil stains and incense.   As Goblin engineering is so vital to the civilized world the Order of the Clockwork Goddess is an approved religion in both Elf and Human empires. It is one of the few religous organizations allowed free travel between the two superpowers. There is a central temple dedicated to the Clockwork Goddess in the Goblin home city of Scarabia, but it had rarely been used and today has been converted to a railway hub.
