Vifuran Orued (Ore-rude)

All life on Vifu naturally is very good at deterring disease and infection, thanks to the scarce water that gives them their immune systems. However, The Vifuran Orued is a different case.   A resilient plant that can grow under any conditions, it serves as a much more reliable version of Vifuran water with its transferable immune system and everything. Vifuran water is still much stronger and more reliable, keeping it as the healthiest substance in Xaritry without a doubt, but unlike Vifuran Water, the Orued is not as highly protected by the Vifurans. As a result, many companies that specialize in medicine farm and harvest the plant to sell for varying prices.   The plant itself looks much like a feather sticking out of the ground. It stands out against the yellow-colored barren land of its native planet, having a variety of colors, usually ranging from magenta to orange. At the touch, it is fuzzy and slightly prickly giving the feeling of pins and needles surging through your hand if you were to hold it. Don't worry though, no actual harm is being done to your hand, it's just the sensation.   Those that have eaten the Orued describe its taste as both Bitter and Sweet with a Sour aftertaste. Not many people like the taste of it because of this, and often use it in food recipes to make it tastier to ingest. Those that cook with Vifuran Orued find that it pairs well mostly with typically sweet food items, many of which are dessert items or just straight-up candy. It is even a traditional food for Vifurans to serve and make candied Oured for special events and holidays. When candied, the Orued becomes less like a plant and more like the Earthen Mexican Lollipop-esque candy known as "Slaps".

Interesting bit of making it into candy and that the stinging isn't actually harmful.
