White Ring

The White ring is a massive wall of ice that encircles the known lands of Wyrth. It is unknown if there is anything beyond, as any attempt to get past the wall has resulted in the crew being lost or returning broken shells of their former selves, hollowed out by the difficulty of their journey.   Before one even gets to the White Ring, they will have sailed through frigid waters, and more than likely had to break up a few icebergs. However, once a crew reaches the White Ring, the danger of the journey skyrockets. In theory, one could climb over, but that would be foolish as you could never carry enough supplies to be properly prepared for whatever may be on the other side; and, to go through one of the gaps in the Ring is also dangerous, as it's nearly impossible to turn around, and there are glaciers and icebergs everywhere - not to mention the potentiality of getting frozen in place.   All in all, it is safe to say that there is no life on the White Ring. While there are some species of aquatic creatures that do survive in the frigid waters, there is no documented life on the Ring. It was long told by the people of Baliklav - the only landmass anywhere close enough to see the White Ring - that the Giants of old lived beyond the Ring, cut off by the gods. However, nothing has confirmed this, including the Giants and Giantkin that actually do live in Wyrth. Regardless, the myth persists.   Recently, there has been an uptick in interest towards trying to traverse the Ring, ushering in a new era of exploration, but there is no significant traction as of yet.

Geography

The geography of the White Ring is tundral mountains and cliffs. These are kilometers high, with nothing but ice and snow at their peaks and covering their faces. While there are some of these landmasses that seem to float, the majority are well-rooted in the earth below the water, making traversal beneath the waves unlikely.
